This past weekend we took a day trip to Taxco. It's about a 2.5 hour trip from Mexico City depending on traffic but as how many of these bus trips go...it took nearly 4 hours to get home. We were excited to explore a new colonial town and see what kind of silver the city had to offer. The silver was a bit less impressive than we thought it was going to be, it was much of the same stuff that you see all over Mexico. However, we did enjoy walking through the town, eating some delicious Mexican food, and we scored an amazing hand painted cow skull! Which my husband was particularly excited about. HA.
